Engagement photographs are such a great opportunity to get some beautiful professional photos of you both as a couple. Most of the couples that I meet often have very limited photos of them together. And the ones they do are usually ‘selfies’. This is one of the reasons I offer an engagement or pre-wedding photo shoot. And if you do get the opportunity to have engagement photographs taken – don’t hesitate to do so. {More reasons why here!}
There are lots of ways that you can use your engagement photographs. I often get asked for ideas, so I thought I’d share the best in this blog post.
1. Save The Date Cards
This can be a really cute way to announce your fabulous news! And the engagement photographs of you both is a perfect personalised touch. Once you’ve selected your favourite photographs, have them professionally printed onto your Save the Date Cards and include a little hand written note too!
2. Invitations
If you love the idea above but already missed the boat, why not do this for you wedding invitations. If you’re all about style and design, you could simply add a couple of cute little engagement photographs loose inside the envelope! Or get more creative and add twine or ribbon to keep them together.
3. Signing Frame
This is such a popular product with my wedding couples. Simply choose your most favourite engagement photographs that truly reflects you as a couple. Then I’ll get my pro lab suppliers to create your signing frame for you ready for your guests to sign on your wedding day. It’s a fabulously creative way of sharing well wishes from family and friends. And then as a final touch {once I’ve had the glass securely fastened in} you get to showcase in your home to smile at everyday.

4. Personalised Favours & Other Items
Depending on your choice of wedding favour, you can use a little thumbnail sized engagement photograph to give it a personal touch. This works really well for wrapped favours that need a gift tag.
5. Wedding Website
For those tech folk out there, this is becoming a popular idea. Online sharing of wedding details, guest information, gift lists and photograph sharing from guests on the day can all be perfect for your wedding website. Especially if you have family and friends who live far away too!
6. Order of Service
Usually a choice for Church Weddings. Often couples are asked by the Church to provide a photograph for their Order of Service – and what better choice than one that’s recent and professionally taken! Or if you’re making your own, you can be creative and add couple of your favourite engagement photographs.

7. Guest Book or Story Book
You could include a perfect engagement photograph on the front cover of your guest book. Or you could go a little further and create a story book with several pages inside that briefly detail your journey together so far. Leaving room for your guests to include their well wishes for you.
8. Photo Collage or Wall Mural
Another really popular idea. And one that will take some family and friends on a trip down memory lane – which is great! For my own wedding I used this idea. On the left I used old photographs of when I was younger and worked my way down to the bottom growing up. I did similar for my hubby on the right. And then the photographs that came together in the middle were of the times we spent together before getting married. And, of course, I included our engagement photographs.
