As a Lincolnshire wedding photographer, I love the opportunity of getting together with other local Lincolnshire wedding suppliers to share our creative sides. And styled wedding shoots lets us all get really creative. So, with my Wolds Wedding Collective team, we set about shooting something different. We are all lovers of the relaxed bohemian style and this worked to the strengths of us all.
Our Inspired Style…
So, let’s start with the fact that I absolutely LOVED the idea of using the woodland as our backdrop. We are so incredibly lucky here in Lincolnshire to have such gorgeous, natural areas of outstanding beauty. What I love about this is how nature is the key focus of the theme, contrasted with fabulous practical, but beautiful elements. Practical items dressed in foliage.

Dreamy dresses…
Given the woodland, bohemian inspiration, the models dresses were chosen to suit. Jools over at Willow & Lace Bridal Boutique has the most incredible dresses. Not only are they fabulously stylish and amazingly different, but Jools also knows the best style and shape to flatter and compliment too.
Both choice of dresses offered the romantic, whimsical style. One with long, beautifully laced sleeves and a simple, flowing full skirt creating soft elegance for an effortless style. The other a little more structured with intricate lace detail to the bodice and more texture with volume to the skirt. All elements form a laid back statement.

With Boho Styling, Less is So Much More…
On this shoot, we had two ‘brides’ model for us. Their make up and hair styling was inspired by our theme, but also by the choice of dresses and headpieces. For the effortlessly chic look; natural, soft and pretty works best. Our Hair Stylist Nicky created long loose curls, which worked perfectly for our gorgeous model who rocked the boho head piece. And less is definitely more with Boho styled make up. So Gillian from Skin Couture worked her magic to lightly accentuate our models natural features using neutral tones and shadows.

As for our other gorgeous model, the dress inspired a subtle ‘ice queen’ twist. For hair, sharp curls created additional texture which complimented the skirt of the dress. All swept to one side, creating an effortless ‘messy’ up do {which we all know takes great effort to create!!}. All complimented by a gorgeous hairpiece. Gillian chose make up with deeper tones to the eyes followed by statement lips.

In the moment…
I think it’s clear that I could have probably photographed this styled shoot long into the night! Blessed with a gorgeous backdrop, incredible styling, beautiful dresses, elegant make up and hair, and of course fantastic models, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Due to the nature of the shoot, we directed the models to a certain extent, but those moments in between were the ones that stood out most for me. Which makes sense, as the ‘captured in the moment’ photographs are always my most favourite.

The Black & White Edit…
I absolutely love colour, but I’m also a lover of black and white photographs. For styled shoots, I don’t often convert to black and white as it’s important to capture the colours and tones of elements such as make-up, hair, clothing, flowers and all the other gorgeous items that talented wedding suppliers create. So I decided to include a Black & White Edit to this blog, just because some photographs speak more in good old black & white!

So, if you’re looking for a very talented Lincolnshire wedding supplier, then have a nosey at the links above or get in touch with me. These ladies are all incredible at what they do. They genuinely love their roles in the wedding industry and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
