For a rural Lincolnshire wedding, you’ll need an abundance of talented wedding suppliers to help you with your vision! Here in Part II of Elderflower Events Claxby Grange Styled Shoot, I’ll introduce you to more!
When I say that you lovely brides and grooms of Lincolnshire are so, so lucky… I don’t say that lightly! You are! You’ve such an incredible pool of mega talented wedding suppliers to choose from. I know, because I’ve worked with them. Wedding dresses, suits, flowers and details all take time to find. There’s a lot more to organising a wedding than people realise. I know of lots of couples that would agree with me too. And even more so when couples want to go that little bit further with personal touches too.
Drawing Inspiration From Your Venue
Blossoms Events Hire worked their magic to completely transform the space from a standard barn to an incredibly beautiful area fit for a banquet. Large drapes softened the industrial roof and together with the candleabras, silk flowers, vases and other rustic props, really created a cosy atmosphere in such a large space. Taking the rural, farming theme that little bit further with hay bales for seating too! {See Part I of the blog post for more photographs}

Personal Touches
The relaxed, rustic style moved further around the barn with the most comfortable seating area that sat alongside decorated ‘L O V E’ ladders. Hand crafted artisan wedding stationery that looked like little pieces of artwork created by Somers Creative added more personal touches. A creative duo who work with couples that are looking for something ‘truly out of the ordinary’ developed this ‘Rustic Blossom’ Collection which works perfectly in this setting.

And then to add ‘the icing on the cake’ were several extra special features that is a MUST for any wedding – barn or otherwise! A yummy sweet stall, Gin bar from Pin Gin and of course, a gorgeous featured wedding cake by Angelic Delights displayed on top of a whiskey barrel supplied by Love In The Limelight. Wildly practical and picture perfect too!
And in amongst all of those personal touches are some scrumptious handmade cookies from Cookie Doodle Doo! Drawing inspiration from the special day and the rural setting, Melanie created personalised bride and groom cookies, as well as tractor biscuits too! Perfect for wedding favours – again – with that added personal touch!

Working With Suppliers Who Collaborate
This rural Lincolnshire wedding venue at Claxby Grange offers not only beautiful natural views of the Lincolnshire countryside, but the farm offers some quaint little feature areas too. Take this typical stable door – a great backdrop for some quiet couple shots. And even the stack of hay bales make for a pretty backdrop with it’s natural colours and tones. And the choice of styling for our models was just right. Harry looked rather charming in his suit from Brides & Grooms of Lincolnshire. The muted tones of the waistcoat combined with the subtle colours of the bow-tie complemented all other elements. Especially the incredible flowers. This button hole is beautifully simple. Crosskills Florist also created an amazing bouquet that was different and clearly inspired by the natural surroundings. I know from trying {and failing} myself, that to get the ‘effortless’ look, it takes more effort than ever before!!

Effortless Beauty
And that brings me on to the beautiful styling of our effortlessly beautiful ‘bride’ Milly! Lauren from LC Makeup Artistry enhanced Milly’s beautiful face with a natural fresh faced look with subtle, earthy tones. Her hair, by Short & Curly’s Jess, was up and off her face, showing her beautiful cheekbones. Wearing a selection of tiara’s from Hats & Tiara’s, Milly’s hair was curled into an ‘effortless’ large bun to give that natural chic appearance. And let’s not forget to mention her stunning wedding dress, that fits her so perfectly. The lace detailing and fitted shape with a mid-length train is perfect for such a venue. Gillian at Bridal Reloved Caistor always picks the right dresses!

And finally, but by no means least, we must discuss the cars from Tales of Figgy! Talk about travelling in style to or away from your wedding venues! These cars are kept in the most pristine condition, and have a quirk about them that’s completely fitting for such an event. I’m sure I spotted a fab picnic basket in the rear of the car when I was shooting!
And did you know that this whole styled shoot was filmed? Yep! By Graham from New Light Media! I’ve included it here so feel free to press play and enjoy.
