A Newborn Photography Session is a completely new experience for most parents. And so not everyone really knows what to expect. So I thought I’d give a bit of an insight into how I deliver my sessions…
Before your Newborn Photography Session
Ok, so you’ve contacted me to find out more and we’ve had a chat via email or over the phone. We’ve discussed how I work and what it is that you are looking for. I’ve sent you my Product Pricing Guide and we’ve talked this through. So you’ll have in mind what art work and print collections that you are likely to purchase for your home. And where you plan to showcase this beautiful art work too. So, after this mini consultation, I’ll send you a ‘Newborn Photography Session Guide’ so that you can see what items to bring and how to prepare for your session. Before your session we also plan ahead any colour schemes that you have in mind. And any particular shots that you MUST have. My favourites are the parent and baby photographs!

During your session
Ok, so you’ve come prepared having read your Newborn Photography Session Guide. You know that your session lasts between 2 to 4 hours. This gives us plenty of time to feed, change and settle baby. In the meantime, you can sit back, get comfy and enjoy watching the session. Sometimes I’ll ask you to get involved with helping me too. An extra pair of hands is always useful. Together we will create a stunning collection of beautiful photographs.
Clients have also expressed that because they book time with me to create this art work, it actually gets done! Rather than another ‘job’ to go onto the ‘to do’ list.

After your newborn photography session
You’ll be invited back to my lovely studio within two weeks. During that time I’ll have hand edited your gorgeous photographs ready for you to view. And it may surprise you that you’ll see how much baby has changed already! In two weeks!! Clients love returning to the studio at this time so they can see their photography at a large scale. That way you can compare sizes, frames and products. This makes sure you get the right product choice for you and your family home. Clients have also expressed that because they book time with me to create this art work, it actually gets done! Rather than another ‘job’ to go onto the ‘to do’ list.

I’ll help you with your choices, guide you through the process and then I’ll use my amazing professional suppliers to create your bespoke order. Once these arrive at the studio, I check them over, package them up and you either collect them, or sometimes I personally deliver them. You tell me just how much you love your art work and then {hopefully} send me a picture of it displayed in your home. Everyone’s happy!
So if you’re considering creating some beautiful art work of your new baby, then get in touch and we can talk through ideas and look to get your session booked in.
